Is it safe to smoke in the car?

Smoking is clearly proven to be bad for your health, but many people are not very concerned. This is because the momentary pleasure derived from smoking is stronger than the fear of the possible long-term consequences. Especially when it is not even certain that the negative effects will occur. It\’s silly, sure, but it\’s not their fault. It\’s just the way our brains are programmed.

So it is understandable that some people want to light up in their spare time. And that can be while driving. While not as common as it used to be, one still comes across drivers with lit cigarettes while driving. Of course, this is partly due to the fact that cars have cigarette lighters.

Of course, from their perspective, this is understandable, especially if the drive is long. However, one wonders if this is really the best solution, or if it would be better to simply stop for a while and smoke outside.Few of these people are aware of the risks associated with smoking in the car. There are more risks than we think.

One of these, of course, is ash falling onto sensitive electronic equipment. This is a particular problem today, when modern automobiles are literally covered in ash. With a little care, however, this can be avoided very easily, and the cigarette is knocked out the window.

But the bigger problem is the unexpected. You may need to brake suddenly. When this happens, there is a good chance that the cigarette will fall out of your hand or mouth, perhaps onto your lap. Needless to say, this would not be pleasant. Furthermore, if you have a cloth cover, there is even the possibility of a fire.

Similar dangers exist in traffic accidents. Here, the chances of chewing through a cigarette or having a cigarette fall out are very high. Here, too, there is the danger of fire, and even more so if the car is in poor condition after the collision. This is why one should not smoke while driving.
