The tales of II(AC) Squadron come from many sources. There are those which have been
gleaned as a result of the reporting requirements that follow operational sorties; others come from personal
experiencies of those who served; some are the fanciful output of newspaper reporters and other "investigative"
agencies. However, one thing that remains a constant thread, whatever the source of the story, is
that the topic of "Shiney Two" is a rich seam to be shared and, hopefully, as the news spreads, that this
library of tales will expand as folks are prompted to provide their own bit of history. Read on and
