Squadron Leader More was the first Boss of Air Force rank to take command of the squadron and
he commemorated the event by taking the squadron (which had been reduced to cadre) in September 1919 to
Weston-on-the-Green. It was there in January of the following year that the squadron was
"temporarily disbanded" only to be resurrected some 11 days later on the 1st February 1920 at Oranmore in
Ireland. He remained in command until May of that year when he handed over the reins to Sqn Ldr
Stent .... but not before the squadron proudly added "(AC)" to its name and title and to which it has been
so referred to ever since. |
