Sawbridgeworth

Sawbridgeworth is located in Hertfordshire, UK.  The squadron was stationed there from June 1940 - following the retreat from mainland Europe - and the airfield became the main base of operations throughout the next few years until the D-Day invasion.

Nowadays it is better known as the site of "Beckingham Palace" with little there to show that this was once a thriving operational base.
