The 1930s

After the doldrums of the post-war years life became a little busier for the squadron in the 1930s especially once the politicians woke up to the developments being conducted by a resurgent Germany.

The squadron entered the decade just having discarded the WW1-vintage Bristol Fighter and had as its stead the purpose-designed Army Co-operation type, the AW Atlas.  Other changes of type through the years leading up to WW2 meant that many fascinating pictures were recorded.
