II(AC) re-equipped with the Swift RFmk5 in 1956 at RAF Geilenkirchen and thereby became the first RAF Squadron to operate an afterburning jet aircraft. Not universally popular with either Air or Groundcrew it nonetheless was a distinctive aircraft which provided both memorable moments and photographs. Here are a few collections of the latter:
