News that the Jaguar was no more when it was decommissioned from RAF service was met with
sadness by those who had served with this fine machine when on the Squadron.
However, II(AC) Sqn
still has a tenuous connection with operational examples of the Jaguar as one of our number since leaving the
RAF is contracted to service the seats of the Indian Air Force's fleet at Bangalore. Mentioning
that he had served on the type with II(AC) Sqn was enough to get him a tour of the production line.
