One of the first aircraft types to be operated by the squadron was the B.E.2. Indeed,
most deritives of the type were flown between the years 1912 to 1917. Here are few pictures from
that time showing the aircraft both in its pristine "as delivered" condition to a few shots of how so many of
the aircraft ended up; evidence of the fragile nature of the structure.
