In 1913 the squadron moved from their original base Farnborough (where they had formed the
previous year) to Dysart near Montrose in Scotland. Whilst most of the squadron staged through various landing fields on
their northern journey, one aircraft had been modified with an auxiliary fuel tank fitted in the forward
cockpit which allowed a non-stop flight by Captain Longcroft from Farnborough to Dysart which saw him airborne
for 7 hrs 40 minutes; check out the last picture in this short album of images taken of that time.
