1912 and all that

In the beginning (1912, that is) there was flight; the idea of taking a camera into the air came a little later.  However, even though Mr. Eastman had yet to launch his Brownie Box camera upon an unsuspecting market there were folks around who in those early days managed to lug those mahogany and brass contraptions about and provide us with some images of those exciting events.
